4 days...

:: Peter 6/06/2003 03:48:00 PM [+] ::

What can he possibly be thinking? Jenin? He's giving us Jenin as though it's true? He's not going to mention something like "No massacre happened in Jenin?" Anything, anything at all? Just a freaking Bar Mitzvah joke? And look, the reporter works for CNN, bright as day, so obviously, the massacre at Jenin is true, or else the CNN reporter would have mentioned that it wasn't. What is this ass trying to teach here?

In 4 days Joshua will have his surgery. Less than 100 hours.

Thirteen years from now he's having a wonderful Bar Mitzvah.

Trudeau ain't gonna be invited.

How to break a rule

Just in case anyone wanted a guide to corking a bat, leave it to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution to provide instructions on breaking a law:

ECotD Follow-Up

Bill Quick, of Daily Pundit suggested that perhaps the anti-semitism in yesterday's Doonesbury might have been a 'bum rap' since "the "joke" being that the Pali, 40 years old, is obviously lying about a "new generation" of radicalized Palis."

Today's Doonesbury isn't quite what I expected, since it seems to say that the 'Pali' is not lying about a "new generation" since she's actually 17.

So, I'm a little confused as to what, exactly, uber-lib Trudeau is trying to accomplish here, we'll have to see what tomorrow brings. In the meantime, here's today's strip:

A New Anti-Semitic Low For Doonesbury

Am I the onlyone who can't stomach anything after "The Jews have left us with no hope!" comment?

T-minus 1 Week...

When we were first told the date of the surgery it seemed so damn far away. One week. Seven freakin' days. How did that happen?

Wasn't it just yesterday I held him for the first time?

I've always sort of believed in a variant of Murphy's Law, namely that not everything could be perfect at any given time. Something always pretty much had to suck, if it didn't everything would therefore one day all have to suck at once. And who would really want that?

Received an official rejection letter yesterday on one of the queries I sent out. The other rejections were sent via email so didn't have that 'official' sense and sensibility. All in all, made for a depressing evening.

I've a sinking feeling that every evening for the next seven days will be some level of depression. We leave for the hospital, which is hours away, this weekend. It's going to be a long, too short, week.
