"Guidance Financial Group understands the importance of your participation in today’s financial opportunities without compromising quality or your principles. Our products are strictly Sharia-compliant, highly competitive and of the highest quality."
But wait, there's more:
"Scholars, like those of us who serve on the Guidance Shari`ah Supervisory Board, have worked hard in recent decades to revive the traditional role of Shari`ah in finance. Around the world, great strides forward are being made. Shari`ah-compliant businesses and financial service providers are now operating in almost every Muslim majority country, and in many countries where Muslims are a minority as well.
The intention of our Shari`ah Supervisory Board is to ensure that useful, competitive, and truly Shari`ah-compliant products are developed, delivered and maintained by Guidance Financial Group, so that you may rest assured that you are transacting in ways that comply with the religious and moral teachings of Islam. Toward this end, our Board performs regular audits of the company and its business."
All of this, and more, can be found on their web site. Not much to see here...
Except perhaps for the small little tiny insignificant fact that Guidance Financial Group, following and practicing Shari'ah law, isn't located in Saudi Arabia. Or Iran. Or Syria.
They're located in Falls Church, Virginia, United States of America.
Once again, might be true. But when you Google a quote supposedly said by someone and the only hits are other people saying 'he said it' it doesn't look good for the other side. Did he say it? Who knows? There's no supporting documentation such as WHERE or WHEN he said it. There are, however, a few sites parroting the same editiorial from the Arab News.
